Dr. Wilson is currently a tenured Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at MUSC Storm Eye Institute. He holds the N. Edgar Miles Endowed Chair. He is the former MUSC Department Chair and Storm Eye Institute Director (1996-2011) and also a former Residency Program Director in Ophthalmology (1990-1998). He currently serves as Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship Program Director at Storm Eye Institute.

Dr. Wilson is a Past President of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus (AAPOS) and Past President and Past Council Chair of the American Ophthalmological Society.
